I can remember it pretty well. I was Right around six months into my starting my company and looking at the revenue coming into my business and the bills I had to pay both personally and for my company.
The numbers didn't add up. I mean, they weren't even close, and I didn't know what was going to be the right move. It was at that point that I realized that I hadn't been a business owner. I hadn't been running my business like a business. I created a job for myself. Part of that reason was I was trying to do it all on my own. Figuring out everything on my own and not reaching out and asking for the advice of anybody. I didn't want anybody to know that I was screwing up.
I was concerned about what would they think about me. Here's a guy who ran a successful sales career. Here was a guy that had a pretty good brand and people looked up to. I was super confident, but pride was killing me. So I have to tell it to you, it, it took a lot of humility for me to realize I didn't know what the hell I was doing.
Once I came to that realization, I knew something had to shift, and something had to change.
That's when I started to discover that, I don't have to do this by myself. There's plenty of people that have gone on the journey and gone through it that can help you shortcut the path.
This episode is my journey from doing it on my own to finding success in seeking advice from coaches, mentors, and friends who had been through it.
