Chris Dees is a native Texan that, like most, grew up in a lower class family that split apart soon after he became a teenager.
He bounced back and forth from parent to parent until he moved out on his own at 16. He started working full time and went to school part-time...
His grandparents ran a family business taking care of oil and gas wells. At 17 he quit school completely to go work in their business driving my grandfather around after he shattered both of his legs in an auto accident. He worked for them for about 2 years before he finally decided to follow in my grandfather's footsteps by enlisting in the U.S. Army, particularly the Cavalry.
He became a father, at 20 years old, five days before he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. About 10 days into my deployment, he received a Red Cross Message saying that his son ways in ICU and probably not going to make it.
While en route back to the United States he learned that his son's mother and a guy she started dating were arrested for child abuse/endangerment in connection with his son's injury.
He later returned to Iraq to finish my deployment. After returning home from Iraq he was able to secure sole custody of his son and their lives moved on.
In 2010 he married the woman of his dreams. They now have two beautiful children, his son(now 10) and his daughter(now 6).
In order to support his family in the best way possible and to give them the things that my wife did not have growing up, he decided to re-enter the oilfield and make it a career.
He worked his way up into Operations Management and got tired of working for others, as well as, being away from my family 300+ days of the year. He left his career working for others in December of 2017 to take some "time off". In January of 2018, he started a "Consulting Firm", Recon Production Services, with himself and his brother-in-law to provide labor for existing flowback and well-testing companies.
He worked 12-hour shifts doing manual labor and made sales calls on his 12 hours off. In April of 2018, after almost losing everything he had worked so hard for, all of the grinding he had done finally paid off.
Literally, overnight he went from 3 contractors(including himself) working to 20+ contractors on jobs. Since April, their monthly sales have been about $250,000, which, crushed their 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year goals. They are currently re-writing their goals for these milestones and expanding into other areas of service.
