Momentum was something I understood in sales but had not fully embraced in business. When we left for Ireland, I thought I had everything in place to keep momentum and wins moving forward.
In sales you typically have teams to help pick up the slack when you are on vacations and holidays. When you are starting out as an entrepreneur, all the work is on you.
So, once again I learned a valuable lesson on how significant maintaining momentum is for your business.
For almost two weeks we toured Ireland enjoying the sites, the people, the food and the culture. When we got home, I realized my pipeline was empty, and I had lost momentum..
I had to scramble to get everything grooving again. Through social media, networking, and followups I was able to build the business back up to steam. But, for a moment the self-doubt and insecurity crept in.
Do I get a job, can I do this am I built to be a business owner? Then like the universe always does it showed, and we are back on track.
I always say you must go through it to become it. This moment was one of those times. You must maintain momentum, or it will destroy you or your business.
